Musnad Ahmad

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When the day of Friday comes, angels come to every door of the mosques and record the reward of the worshipper who comes first and second, and when the Imam comes out, the angels fold up those scrolls and registers and enter the mosque to listen to the remembrance. And the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The one who comes first for the Friday prayer receives a reward like one who sacrifices a camel; the one who comes second receives a reward like one who sacrifices a cow; the one who comes third receives a reward like one who sacrifices a goat; then a duck, then a chicken, then like one who gives an egg in charity.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that once someone asked the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about the ruling regarding the children of polytheists who die in infancy. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied that Allah knows best what deeds they would have performed if they had grown up.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah Almighty says, "Who could be more unjust than the one who tries to create like Me? Such people should try to create a fly or a grain of barley."

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Hazrat Jibreel (peace be upon him) continued to advise me to treat the neighbor well so persistently that I began to think he would soon make him an heir.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Whoever buys a she-camel or a goat whose teats have been tied (to deceive the buyer), then he has the choice of two options, whichever is better for him: either he keeps the animal with himself (and settles the matter), or he returns the animal to the owner and gives a vessel of wheat along with it.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The example of a person who gives a gift to someone and then takes it back is like that of a dog who eats to his fill, and when his belly is full, he vomits, and then licks up and eats his vomit again.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: None of you should urinate in standing water and then perform ablution with it.

The previous hadith is also narrated through this second chain of transmission.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The permission of a virgin, adult girl will be sought regarding her marriage; if she remains silent, then this will be considered as her permission, and if she refuses, then there is no justification for forcing her.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When Allah decided to bring the creation into existence, He wrote in a book which is with Him above the Throne: "My mercy prevails over My wrath."

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Among all people, I am the closest to Jesus (peace be upon him). All the prophets (peace be upon them) are paternal brothers. There is no prophet between me and Jesus (peace be upon him).

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Hell has been veiled with desires and Paradise has been veiled with disliked (difficult) matters.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If any one of you wants to spit in the mosque, he should go far away; if he cannot do so, then he should spit into his garment.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Name yourselves after my name, but do not take my kunya as your kunya."

Once, Muslim (may Allah have mercy on him) asked Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) about the issue of drinking water while standing. He replied, "Nephew! I have seen that once the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) tied his mount, which was sitting, and I was holding its reins in such a way that my foot was on its leg. Meanwhile, some people from the Quraysh came and stood around the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). During this time, a vessel of milk was brought to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) drank it while sitting on the mount, then graciously passed it to the person on his right. He drank it while standing, and thus all the people drank that milk while standing."

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Does the person who raises his head before the Imam, while the Imam is still in prostration, not fear that Allah may turn his head into that of a donkey?

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Does the person who raises his head before the Imam, while the Imam is still in prostration, not fear that Allah Almighty may turn his face into that of a donkey?

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that my beloved Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) advised me regarding three things (which I will not leave until my death): (1) to fast three days every month, (2) to perform Witr prayer before sleeping, (3) to take a bath on Friday.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that once, in the presence of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), people or a person mentioned someone and said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! So-and-so slept the whole night and did not even offer the Fajr prayer until morning came." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Satan has urinated in his ear."

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever catches one rak'ah of the Fajr prayer before sunrise has caught that prayer, and whoever catches one rak'ah of the Asr prayer before sunset has caught that prayer.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The needy is not the one who is turned away with one or two dates or one or two morsels. The companions (may Allah be pleased with them) asked: O Messenger of Allah, then who is the needy? He said: The one who does not have enough to suffice himself, and others do not know of his needs so that they might give him charity. Imam Zuhri (may Allah have mercy on him) says: This person is deprived.

The previous hadith from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) is also narrated through this second chain of transmission, except that in this version, the companions (may Allah be pleased with them) asked, "O Messenger of Allah! Then who is considered poor?" He replied, "The one who does not possess financial means himself and does not go around asking people persistently."

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Delaying repayment of a debt by a wealthy person is injustice.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The Jews and Christians do not dye their hair with henna and the like, so you should oppose them.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: People are like hidden treasures (mines); those who were the best in the time of ignorance are also the best in the time of Islam, provided they become knowledgeable in religion.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Four rivers of Paradise flow in the world: the Euphrates, the Nile, the Jihun, and the Sihun.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Change the whiteness of your hair and do not imitate the Jews and Christians.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: On the Day of Resurrection, death will be brought and made to stand on the Bridge of Sirat, and the people of Paradise will be called and summoned. They will look anxiously, fearing that perhaps they are being taken out of Paradise. Then it will be asked of them, "Do you recognize this?" They will say, "Yes, our Lord! This is death." Then the people of Hell will be called and summoned. They will look out with happiness, hoping that perhaps they will be allowed to leave that place. Then it will also be asked of them, "Do you recognize this?" They will say, "Yes, this is death." Then, by Allah's command, it will be slaughtered on the Bridge of Sirat, and it will be said to both groups, "The state in which you are now, you will remain in it forever; there will never be death again."

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: A woman entered Hell because of a cat which she had tied up. She neither fed it nor gave it water, nor did she let it go free so that it could eat the insects of the earth by itself.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Protect yourselves from fasting continuously for several days with only one pre-dawn meal (suhoor)." The companions (may Allah be pleased with them) submitted, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), you fast continuously in this manner." The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "You are not like me in this matter. I spend the night in such a state that my Lord Himself feeds and gives me drink."

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Knowledge will be taken away, tribulations will appear, and killing will become widespread. The companions (may Allah be pleased with them) asked, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), what is meant by killing?" The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: Killing, killing.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Saying "Subhan Allah" to remind the imam is for men, and clapping is for women.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: When any one of you offers prayer and then remains seated on his prayer mat, the angels continuously say: O Allah, forgive him. O Allah, have mercy on him, as long as he does not lose his ablution or leave from there.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that a funeral passed by the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). People began to mention the good qualities and praise of the deceased. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "It has become obligatory." In the meantime, another funeral passed by and people mentioned the bad qualities and condemnation of the deceased. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "It has become obligatory." Then he said, "You people are Allah's witnesses on earth."

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever sees me in a dream should be certain that he has indeed seen me, for Satan cannot take my form or appearance.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Near the Day of Judgment, the water of the Euphrates River will recede, uncovering a mountain of gold from beneath it. People will begin to fight over it, to the extent that out of every ten men, nine will be killed.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Wealth is not in the abundance of possessions; true wealth is the wealth of the heart.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: In matters of this religion, people follow the Quraysh; the good follow the good among them, and the bad follow the bad among them.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: In this black seed there is a cure for every disease except as-sam. People asked, O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), what is as-sam? The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Death.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Silver should be exchanged for silver and gold for gold in equal weight. Whoever adds to it has engaged in usury.
