Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said that Witr does not have definitive proof from the Noble Qur’an like the obligatory prayers, but its obligation is established from the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), so do not abandon it.
Hadith 843
Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) once instructed me to offer a sacrifice on his behalf, so I will continue to offer a sacrifice on his behalf until the end.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) cursed ten types of people: the one who consumes usury, the one who gives it to others, the one who writes usurious transactions, the witnesses to usurious transactions, the one who performs Halalah, the one for whom Halalah is performed, the one who withholds Zakat, the one who tattoos, and the one who gets tattooed. And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade wailing.

Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) says that I used to visit the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) daily. If I wanted to enter the house of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and he was praying, he would cough, and when he was silent, I would not enter the house. Once, I visited at night, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came out and said, "A strange incident happened tonight. I felt someone's movement in the house, so I became anxious and came out, and there was Jibreel (peace be upon him) standing in front of me. I asked him, 'Why did you not come inside the house?' He said, 'A dog has entered your room from somewhere, so I cannot come inside.' And indeed, under Hasan's chair, there was a puppy. And he said, 'The angels do not enter a house in which there is a dog, a person in a state of major impurity, or a picture.'"
Hadith 846
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If I were to appoint anyone as a leader without consulting the Muslims, I would appoint Ibn Umm Abd, that is, Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him)."
Hadith 847
Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said that I used to suffer frequently from the discharge of madhiy (pre-seminal fluid). I asked the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) about it, so he (peace be upon him) said: "If semen is discharged, then perform ghusl just as you do in the case of janabah (major ritual impurity), and if it is not so, then there is no need to perform ghusl."

Tariq bin Ziyad says that we went out with Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) to fight the Khawarij. Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) fought them and said: "Behold! The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'Soon a people will emerge who will speak correct words but it will not go beyond their throats. They will go out from the truth just as an arrow goes out from the prey. Their sign will be that among them there will be a man whose hand will be incomplete, and in his hand (palm) there will be black hair.'" Now, if this is the case, then you have purified the world from the existence of the worst man, and if it is not so, then you have killed the best man. Hearing this, we began to weep. Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Search for him." So we searched for him and found a man with a defective hand. Upon seeing him, we fell into prostration, and Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) also prostrated with us. However, he also said that their words were correct.
Hadith 849
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "In the Noble Qur'an, where it is stated that you have made this your portion, that you keep denying, its meaning is that you say: Rain has occurred because of the rising and setting of such-and-such stars."
Hadith 850
The previous hadith is also narrated through this second chain of transmission.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded us to “carefully examine the ears and eyes of the sacrificial animal; do not sacrifice a one-eyed animal, nor sacrifice a Muqabalah, Mudabirah, Sharqa’, or Kharqa’.” The narrator says: I asked Abu Ishaq, “Did Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) also mention ‘Adhba’?” He said: “No!” Then I asked, “What is meant by Muqabalah?” He replied: “An animal whose ear is cut from the front.” I asked, “What is meant by Mudabirah?” He replied: “An animal whose ear is cut from the back.” I asked the meaning of Sharqa’, so he replied: “An animal whose ear is split.” I asked the meaning of Kharqa’, so he explained: “An animal whose ear is torn.”

Sayyiduna Abu Tufail (may Allah be pleased with him) says that we asked Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), "Tell us something which the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) told you especially." He replied: "The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) did not tell me anything privately which he concealed from other people, but I did hear the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: 'May Allah's curse be upon the one who sacrifices an animal in the name of other than Allah, may Allah's curse be upon the one who gives shelter to an innovator, may Allah's curse be upon the one who curses his parents, and may Allah's curse be upon the one who alters the boundaries of the land.'"
Hadith 856
Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) says that madhiy (pre-seminal fluid) would be discharged from my body in abundance. When this happened, I would perform ghusl (ritual bath). Then I mentioned this to Sayyiduna Miqdad (may Allah be pleased with him), so he asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about its ruling. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) smiled and said: "In this case, only wudu (ablution) is required."

After you, whom should we appoint as our leader? He replied: "If you appoint Abu Bakr as leader, you will find him trustworthy, disinterested in the world, and eager for the Hereafter. If you appoint Umar as leader, you will find him strong and trustworthy; he does not care about the blame of any blamer in the matter of Allah.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the funeral of Sayyiduna Umar Farooq (may Allah be pleased with him) was brought and placed between the pulpit and the blessed chamber. During this, Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) arrived and, standing in front of the rows, began to say: "This is he" (he said this sentence three times), then said: "May Allah's mercy descend upon you. After the record of deeds of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), there is no one in all of Allah's creation, apart from this shrouded person, whose record of deeds I would love to meet Allah with."

Abu Juhaifah (may Allah have mercy on him) says: I was near the funeral of Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), his face was covered with a cloth. In the meantime, Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) arrived, removed the cloth from his face and said: O Abu Hafs! May Allah's mercy descend upon you. After the record of deeds of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), there is no one among all of Allah's creation whose record of deeds I would love to meet Allah with, except yours.
Hadith 868
Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Discharge of madhiy (pre-seminal fluid) would occur frequently from my body. Even in cold weather, I would perform ghusl (ritual bath) so much because of it that my back became sore. I mentioned this to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), so he said: "Do not do that. When you see madhiy, wash your private part and perform wudu (ablution) as you do for prayer, and if semen is discharged, then perform ghusl."
Hadith 869
Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said that I suffered from excessive discharge of madhiy. I asked the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) about its ruling, so he said: "For madhiy, only wudu is obligatory, and in the case of the discharge of maniy, ghusl becomes obligatory."
Hadith 870
Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I used to suffer from excessive discharge of madhiy (pre-seminal fluid). I told a man, and he asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about its ruling. He said: "Only wudu (ablution) is obligatory due to madhiy."
