حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ , حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي حَفْصَةَ , عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ , عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ , وَأبي سَلَمَةَ بنِ عبد الرحمن , عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " التَّسْبِيحُ لِلرِّجَالِ , وَالتَّصْفِيقُ لِلنِّسَاءِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Saying "Subhan Allah" to remind the imam is for men, and clapping is for women.
