حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ , حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ , حَدَّثَنَا الْعَلَاءُ , وَسُهَيْلٌ , عَنْ أَبَيْهِمَا , عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لَا يَخْطُبْ الرَّجُلُ عَلَى خِطْبَةِ أَخِيهِ , وَلَا يَسْتَمْ عَلَى سِيمَةِ أَخِيهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: He forbade that a man should send his proposal of marriage over the proposal of his brother, and that he should not sell over the sale of his brother.
