٣٩٩١٣ - حدثنا أبو معاوية عن الأعمش عن شقيق عن حذيفة قال: لفتنة السوط أشد من فتنة السيف، قالوا: وكيف ذاك؟ قال: إن الرجل ليضرب بالسوط حتى يركب (الخشبة) (١) (٢).
Shaqiq narrates from Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: "The tribulation of the whip is more severe than the tribulation of the sword." His companions said: "How can this be?" He said: "Indeed, a man is whipped until he mounts the wood."
