٣٩٢٦١ - حدثنا سفيان ابن عيينة عن الزهري سمع مالك بن أوس بن الحدثان يقول: سمعت عمر يقول: قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "البر بالبر ربا إلا هاء وهاء، والشعير بالشعير ربا إلا هاء وهاء" (١).
Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Wheat for wheat is usury (riba), unless it is 'like this and like this' (that is, on the spot); and barley for barley is usury, unless it is 'like this and like this' (that is, on the spot)."
