حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْخَلَّالُ الْمَكِّيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ الْعَدَنِيُّ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ مَعْبَدِ بْنِ كَعْبٍ، عَنْ أُمِّهِ، قَالَتْ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " يَنْهَى عَنِ الْخَلِيطَيْنِ التَّمْرِ وَالْبُسْرِ وَالرُّطَبِ، وَقَالَ: اشْرَبُوا كُلَّ وَاحِدٍ مِنْهُمَا عَلَى حِدَتِهِ "
Sayyidah Umm Ma'bad bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with her) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbid mixing two things (when making nabidh), that is, mixing dry dates with unripe and fresh dates, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Drink each of them (prepared) separately."
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الرَّقَاشِيُّ، ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ مَعْبَدِ بْنِ كَعْبٍ، عَنْ أُمِّهِ، وَكَانَتْ قَدْ صَلَّتِ الْقِبْلَتَيْنِ، قَالَتْ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:: لَا تَنْبِذُوا التَّمْرَ وَالزَّبِيبَ، وَانْتَبِذُوا كُلَّ وَاحِدٍ مِنْهُمَا عَلَى حِدَتِهِ "
Sayyidah Umm Ma'bad bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with her), who had prayed towards both qiblahs, narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not make nabidh by mixing dates and raisins; rather, make nabidh from each of them separately."
