Muhammad bin Abdullah al-Hadrami (may Allah have mercy on him) said: I heard Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Numayr saying: Umm al-Mundhir, who narrated from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), her name is Salma bint Qays. Ibn Numayr said: Yunus bin Bukayr narrated this to us from Ibn Ishaq thus: "And she prayed towards both qiblahs with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)."

Sayyidah Umm al-Mundhir (may Allah be pleased with her) said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to me, and Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) was with him (peace and blessings be upon him), and he was convalescing. She said: We had (ripe) hanging bunches of dates. She said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) stood up and began to eat, and Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) also stood up and began to eat. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Wait, you are still recovering." She said: So Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) sat down, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ate from it. Then I prepared beet greens and barley for them, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Eat from this."
