حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا هَارُونُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمُحَارِبِيُّ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ سُلَيْمٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَعْدٍ بِنْتِ عَمْرٍو الْجُمَحِيَّةِ، قَالَتْ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَقُولُ: «مَنْ كَفَلَ يَتِيمًا لَهُ، أَوْ لِغَيْرِهِ مِنَ النَّاسِ كُنْتُ أَنَا وَهُوَ فِي الْجَنَّةِ كَهَاتَيْنِ»
It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Sa'd bint Amr al-Jumahiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her); she said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "Whoever takes care of an orphan, whether his own or someone else's, he and I will be together in Paradise like these two fingers."
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، ثنا صَفْوَانُ بْنُ سُلَيْمٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَعِيدٍ بِنْتِ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ الْجُمَحِيِّ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِثْلَهُ، وَرَوَاهُ سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ سُلَيْمٍ عَنْ أُمِّ سَعِيدٍ بِنْتِ مُرَّةَ الْفِهْرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِيهَا
A similar hadith is also narrated from Sayyidah Umm Sa'id bint Amr bin Murrah al-Jumahiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
Sufyan bin Uyaynah narrated this report thus: from Safwan bin Sulaym, from Umm Sa'id bint Murrah al-Fihri, from her father.
