حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، ثنا هِشَامٌ الدَّسْتُوَائِيُّ، عَنْ بُدَيْلٍ الْعُقَيْلِيِّ، عَنْ صَفِيَّةَ بِنْتِ شَيْبَةَ، عَنْ أُمِّ وَلَدِ شَيْبَةَ أَنَّهَا " رَأَتْ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَسْعَى بَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ: «لَا يُقْطَعُ الْأَبْطَحُ إِلَّا شَدًّا»
It is narrated from one of the umm walads of Shaybah (may Allah be pleased with her) that she saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) performing sa'i between al-Safa and al-Marwah, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) was saying: "The Abtah (the low ground of the valley) is to be crossed only by running."
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عِيسَى الْمَرْوَزِيُّ، ثنا ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، أنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ مَنْصُورِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أُمِّهِ، عَنْ أُمِّ عُثْمَانَ بِنْتِ سُفْيَانَ أُمِّ وَلَدِ شَيْبَةَ وَقَدْ بَايَعَتْ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «دَعَا شَيْبَةَ، فَفَتَحَ الْبَيْتَ، فَلَمَّا دَخَلَ رَكَعَ وَفَرَغَ جَانِبَيْهِ»
It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Uthman bint Sufyan (may Allah be pleased with her), who was the umm walad of Shaybah bin Uthman and who had given the pledge of allegiance to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) called Shaybah, and he opened the Ka'bah. When he (peace and blessings be upon him) went inside, he prayed and had both of its sides cleared.
