Sayyiduna Muhammad bin Hatib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from his mother, Umm Jamil bint al-Mujallil (may Allah be pleased with her), who said: I was bringing you from the land of Abyssinia, until, when I was one or two nights' distance from Madinah, I cooked something for you. The firewood ran out, so I went out to look for firewood, and I took hold of the pot, and it overturned onto your arm. Then I reached Madinah with you and brought you to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah! This is Muhammad bin Hatib, and he is the first person to be named after you. So he (peace and blessings be upon him) passed his hand over your head, prayed for blessing for you, and put his saliva in your mouth. Then he began to spit lightly onto your hand, saying: "Remove the harm, O Lord of mankind, and heal, You are the Healer; there is no healing except Your healing, a healing that leaves no illness behind." I had not yet risen from his presence with you when your hand had already healed.

Sayyiduna Muhammad bin Hatib (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I picked something up from our cooking pot and my hand was burned, so my mother took me to a man sitting in the graveyard and said to him: "O Messenger of Allah!" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Labbayki wa sa'dayki (At your service and at your pleasure)." Then she brought me close to him, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) began to blow and to say words that I could not make out. Afterwards I asked my mother: "What was he (peace and blessings be upon him) saying?" She said: He (peace and blessings be upon him) was saying: "'Adhhib al-ba's, Rabb an-nas, ishfi anta ash-Shafi, la shafiya illa anta' (Remove the harm, O Lord of mankind; heal, You are the Healer, there is no healer but You)."
