Sayyidah Salma bint Qays (may Allah be pleased with her), who was one of the maternal aunts of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), had prayed with him towards both qiblahs, and was one of the women of Banu Adi bin al-Najjar, said: I came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and pledged allegiance to him ((peace and blessings be upon him)) along with some women of the Ansar. When he ((peace and blessings be upon him)) took the condition from us that we would not associate anything with Allah, would not steal, would not commit adultery, would not kill our children, would not bring forth a slander that we fabricate between our hands and our feet, and would not disobey him ((peace and blessings be upon him)) in anything good, he ((peace and blessings be upon him)) further said: "And do not deceive your husbands." So we pledged allegiance to him ((peace and blessings be upon him)), then we went back, and I said to one of the women: Go back and ask the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) what has been made unlawful for us from our husbands' wealth. She asked him ((peace and blessings be upon him)), and he ((peace and blessings be upon him)) said: "That she takes his wealth and gives it to someone else."

Sayyidah Umm al-Mundhir al-Ansariyyah (may Allah be pleased with her), who was one of the maternal aunts of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came to me, and Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) was with him ((peace and blessings be upon him)). Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) was weak, recovering from an illness, and there was a cluster of dates hanging in the house. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) ate from it while standing, and Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) was with him ((peace and blessings be upon him)), so he ((peace and blessings be upon him)) said to Ali: "Do not eat from this, for it does not suit you." So he sat down. Then I cooked chard and barley for them, and he ((peace and blessings be upon him)) said: "Eat this, for it suits you better."
