حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ الْحَذَّاءُ الرَّقِّيُّ، ثنا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَتْنِي حُكَيْمَةُ بِنْتُ أُمَيْمَةَ بِنْتِ رُقَيْقَةَ، عَنْ أُمِّهَا، أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ: كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَبُولُ فِي قَدَحِ عِيدَانٍ، ثُمَّ يَرْفَعُ تَحْتَ سَرِيرِهِ، فَبَالَ فِيهِ ثُمَّ جَاءَ فَأَرَادَهُ فَإِذَا الْقَدَحُ لَيْسَ فِيهِ شَيْءٌ، فَقَالَ لِامْرَأَةٍ يُقَالُ لَهَا بَرَكَةُ كَانَتْ تَخْدُمُ أُمَّ حَبِيبَةَ، جَاءَتْ بِهَا مِنْ أَرْضِ الْحَبَشَةِ: «أَيْنَ الْبَوْلُ الَّذِي كَانَ فِي الْقَدَحِ؟» قَالَتْ: شَرِبَتُهُ، فَقَالَ: «لَقَدِ احْتَظَرْتِ مِنَ النَّارِ بِحِظَارٍ»
Sayyidah Umaymah bint Ruqayqah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to urinate in a wooden bowl, which would then be placed under his bed. (Once) he (peace and blessings be upon him) urinated in it, and when he came back and wanted it, there was nothing in the bowl. So he (peace and blessings be upon him) said to a woman named Barakah, who was the servant of Umm Habibah (may Allah be pleased with her) and whom she had brought with her from the land of Abyssinia: "Where is the urine that was in the bowl?" She said: I drank it. So he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You have built for yourself a strong barrier against the Fire."
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، ثنا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَتْنِي حُكَيْمَةُ، عَنْ أُمِّهَا أُمَيْمَةَ، «أَنَّ أَزْوَاجَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كُنَّ يَجْعَلْنَ عِصَابَةً فِيهَا الْوَرْسُ وَالزَّعْفَرَانُ فَيَعْصِبْنَ بِهَا أَسَافِلَ شُعُورِهِنَّ مِنْ جِباهِهِنَّ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُحَرِمْنَ ثُمَّ يُحَرِمْنَ كَذَلِكَ»
Hukaymah narrated from her mother, Sayyidah Umaymah (may Allah be pleased with her), that the wives of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would make a headband containing wars and saffron, and before entering ihram they would tie it over the lower part of their hair at the forehead, and then enter ihram in that state.
