حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ، ثنا وَهْبُ بْنُ بَقِيَّةَ، ثنا خَالِدٌ، عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ عُمَيْسٍ، قَالَتْ: قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنَّ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتَ أَبِي حُبَيْشٍ اسْتُحِيضَتْ مُنْذُ كَذَا وَكَذَا فَلَمْ تُصَلِّ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «سُبْحَانَ اللهِ، هَذَا مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ، لِتَجْلِسَ فِي مِرْكَنٍ، فَإِذَا رَأَتْ صَفَارَةً فَوْقَ الْمَاءِ فَلْتَغْتَسِلْ لِلظُّهْرِ وَالْعَصْرِ غُسْلًا وَاحِدًا، وَتَغْتَسِلْ لِلْمَغْرِبِ وَالْعِشَاءِ غُسْلًا، ثُمَّ تَوَضَّأْ فِيمَا بَيْنَ ذَلِكَ»
Sayyidah Asma' bint Umays (may Allah be pleased with her) said: I said: O Messenger of Allah! Fatimah bint Abi Hubaysh has had istihadah (irregular bleeding) since such-and-such a time, and she has not been able to pray. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Subhan Allah! This is from Satan. Let her sit in a tub, and when she sees yellowness on top of the water, let her take one ritual bath for Zuhr and Asr, and one ritual bath for Maghrib and Isha, and perform ablution (wudu) in between."
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبَّادٍ الْمَكِّيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ الصَّنْعَانِيُّ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ، قَالَ: كَانَتْ أَسْمَاءُ بِنْتُ عُمَيْسٍ تُحَدِّثُ، أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ مَقْدِمَهُمْ مِنْ أَرْضِ الْحَبَشَةِ جَاءَ يُعَيِّرُهُمْ بِالْمُكْثِ فِي أَرْضِ الْحَبَشَةِ، قَالَتْ: فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: «لَسْتُمْ كَذَلِكَ»
Sayyidah Asma' bint Umays (may Allah be pleased with her) said: When they arrived from the land of Abyssinia, Umar bin al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) came and taunted them for having stayed in Abyssinia. She said: I mentioned this to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You are not like that."
