حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ، أَنَّ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، قَالَتْ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَا لِي شَيْءٌ إِلَّا مَا أَدْخَلَ عَلَيَّ الزُّبَيْرُ أَفَأُنْفِقُ مِنْهُ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «أَنْفِقِي وَلَا تُوكِي فَيُوكَى عَلَيْكِ»
It is narrated from Sayyidah Asma bint Abi Bakr (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: O Messenger of Allah! I have nothing except the wealth that al-Zubayr brings into the house; may I spend from it? The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Spend, and do not tie up your purse, or Allah will tie it up against you."
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الْمُقَدَّمِيُّ، ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ، عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، قَالَتْ: فَقُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ لَيْسَ لِي مَالٌ إِلَّا مَا أَدْخَلَ عَلَيَّ الزُّبَيْرُ بَيْتَهُ، فَقَالَ: «يَا أَسْمَاءُ، أَعْطِي وَتَصَدَّقِي، وَلَا تُوكِي فَيُوكَى عَلَيْكِ»
Sayyidah Asma bint Abi Bakr (may Allah be pleased with her) said: I said: O Messenger of Allah! I have no wealth except what al-Zubayr brings into his house. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Asma! Give and give charity, and do not tie up your purse, or it will be tied up against you."
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْخَلَّالُ الْمَكِّيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ الْعَدَنِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ الثَّقَفِيُّ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَتْنِي أَسْمَاءُ بِنْتُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، قَالَتْ: قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، وَاللهِ مَا لِي إِلَّا مِمَّا أَدْخَلَ عَلَيَّ الزُّبَيْرُ بَيْتَهُ فَأُعْطِي؟ قَالَ: «لَا تُوكِي فَيُوكَى عَلَيْكِ»
Sayyidah Asma bint Abi Bakr (may Allah be pleased with her) said: I said: O Messenger of Allah! By Allah, I have nothing except what al-Zubayr brings into his house; may I give from it? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not tie up your purse, or it will be tied up against you."
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْخَلَّالُ الْمَكِّيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ الْعَدَنِيُّ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ، عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «لَا تُوكِي فَيُوكَى عَلَيْكِ»
It is narrated from Sayyidah Asma bint Abi Bakr (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not tie up your purse, or it will be tied up against you."
حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ثنا أَيُّوبُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَتْنِي أَسْمَاءُ بِنْتُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، قَالَتْ: قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، مَا لِي شَيْءٌ إِلَّا مَا أَدْخَلَ الزُّبَيْرُ بَيْتَهُ، أَفَأُعْطِي مِنْهُ؟ قَالَ: «أَعْطِي وَلَا تُوكِي فَيُوكَى عَلَيْكِ»

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فَضَاءٍ الْجَوْهَرِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ حِسَابٍ، ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ، عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، قَالَتْ: «كُنْتُ أَخْدُمُ الزُّبَيْرَ، وَكَانَ لَهُ فَرَسٌ، وَكُنْتُ أَسُوسُهُ فَلَمْ يَكُنْ مِنَ الْخِدْمَةِ شَيْءٌ أَشَدَّ عَلِيَّ مِنْ سِيَاسَةِ الْفَرَسِ، كُنْتُ أَحْتَشُّ لَهُ وَأَقُومُ عَلَيْهِ، ثُمَّ إِنِّي أَصَبْتُ خَادِمًا، جَاءَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَبْيٌ فَأَعْطَانِي خَادِمًا، وكَفَتْنِي سِيَاسَةَ الْفَرَسِ فَأَلْقَتْ عَنِّي مُؤْنَتَهُ»
Sayyidah Asma bint Abi Bakr (may Allah be pleased with her) said: "I used to serve al-Zubayr (may Allah be pleased with him). He had a horse, and I used to look after it, and no work in the service was harder on me than looking after the horse. I would cut grass for it and tend to it. Then I got a maidservant: some captives came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) gave me a maidservant. She relieved me of looking after the horse and lifted its burden from me."
