حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، ثنا عَبْدُ السَّلَامِ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، عَنْ لَيْثٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الْقَاسِمِ، مَوْلَى زَيْنَبَ، عَنْ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتِ جَحْشٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ نَائِمًا عِنْدَهَا وَحُسَيْنٌ يَحْبُو فِي الْبَيْتِ، فَغَفَلَتْ عَنْهُ فَحَبَا حَتَّى بَلَغَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَصَعَدَ عَلَى بَطْنِهِ، ثُمَّ وَضَعَ ذَكَرَهُ فِي سُرَّتِهِ، قَالَتْ: وَاسْتَيْقَظَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقُمْتُ إِلَيْهِ فَحَطَطْتُهُ عَنْ بَطْنِهِ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «دَعِي ابْنِي» فَلَمَّا قَضَى بَوْلَهُ أَخَذَ كُوزًا مِنْ مَاءٍ فَصَبَّهُ عَلَيْهِ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: «إِنَّهُ يُصَبُّ مِنَ الْغُلَامِ وَيُغْسَلُ مِنَ الْجَارِيَةِ» قَالَتْ: تَوَضَّأَ ثُمَّ قَامَ يُصَلِّي، وَاحْتَضَنَهُ، فَكَانَ إِذَا رَكَعَ وَسَجَدَ وَضَعَهُ، وَإِذَا قَامَ حَمَلَهُ، فَلَمَّا جَلَسَ جَعَلَ يَدْعُو وَيَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ وَيَقُولُ: فَلَمَّا قَضَى الصَّلَاةَ قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُكَ تَصْنَعُ الْيَوْمَ شَيْئًا مَا رَأَيْتُكَ تَصْنَعُهُ، قَالَ: «إِنَّ جِبْرِيلَ أَتَانِي وَأَخْبَرَنِي أَنَّ ابْنِي يُقْتَلُ» قُلْتُ: فَأَرِنِي إِذًا فَأَتَانِي تُرْبَةً حَمْرَاءَ
Sayyidah Zaynab bint Jahsh (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was sleeping at her place, and Sayyiduna Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) was crawling around the house. She became heedless of him, and he crawled until he reached the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). Then the child climbed onto his (peace and blessings be upon him) stomach and placed his private part on his (peace and blessings be upon him) navel. She said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) woke up, and I got up and took him off his (peace and blessings be upon him) stomach, but the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Leave my son alone." When he had finished urinating, he (peace and blessings be upon him) took a jug of water and poured it over it, then said: "Water is poured over (the urine of) a boy, and (the urine of) a girl is washed." She said: Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) performed ablution (wudu) and stood up to pray, and he held him close; when he bowed and prostrated he would put him down, and when he stood up he would pick him up. Then when he sat, he began to supplicate, raising his hands in supplication. When he had completed the prayer, I said: O Messenger of Allah! Today I saw you (peace and blessings be upon him) do something I have never seen before. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Jibril came to me and told me that this son of mine will be killed." I said: Then show me. And red soil was brought to me.
حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ حَبِيبَةَ، عَنْ أُمِّ حَبِيبَةَ، عَنْ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتِ جَحْشٍ، قَالَتْ: اسْتَيْقَظَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ نَوْمِهِ مُحْمَرٌّ وَجْهُهُ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ: «لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهَ، وَيْلٌ لِلْعَرَبِ مِنْ شَرٍّ قَدِ اقْتَرَبَ، فُتِحَ الْيَوْمُ مِنْ رَدْمِ يَأْجُوجَ وَمَأْجُوجَ مِثْلُ هَذَا» وَعَقَدَ بِيَدِهِ يَعْنِي عَشَرَةً، قَالَتْ زَيْنَبُ: فَقُلْتُ: نَهْلِكُ وَفِينَا الصَّالِحُونَ؟ قَالَ: «نَعَمْ إِذَا كَثُرَ الْخَبَثُ»
It is narrated from Sayyidah Zaynab bint Jahsh (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) woke up from sleep with his (peace and blessings be upon him) face red, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) was saying: "La ilaha illallah (there is none worthy of worship except Allah)! Woe to the Arabs from an evil that has drawn near! Today an opening like this has been made in the barrier of Ya'juj and Ma'juj (Gog and Magog)" and he gestured with his hand indicating ten. Sayyidah Zaynab (may Allah be pleased with her) said: So I said: Shall we be destroyed while there are righteous people among us? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes, when wickedness becomes widespread."
حَدَّثَنَا فُضَيْلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمَلَطِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، ثنا قَيْسُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمِقْدَامِ ثَابِتِ بْنِ هُرْمُزٍ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ قَيْسٍ بِنْتِ مِحْصَنٍ، قَالَتْ: دَخَلْتُ عَلَى زَيْنَبَ بِنْتِ جَحْشٍ وَوَجْهُهَا مُحْمَرٌّ، فَقُلْتُ: مَا شَأْنُكِ؟ فَقَالَتْ: دَخَلَ عَلِيَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَنَا نَائِمَةٌ، فَضَرَبَنِي بِمَجَسَّةٍ مَعَهُ - فَقُلْتُ: إِيشِ الْمَجَسَّةُ؟ قَالَتْ: السَّعَفُ الْأَبْيَضُ - فَقَالَ: «هَذَا وَاللهِ أَوَانٌ نَزَلَتِ الْفِتَنُ الْعِظَامُ» قَالَتْ: فَقُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، أَنَهْلِكُ وَفِينَا الصَّالِحُونَ؟ قَالَ: «نَعَمْ، ثُمَّ يُنَجَّى الَّذِينَ اتَّقُوا»
Sayyidah Umm Qays bint Mihsan (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: I went to Sayyidah Zaynab bint Jahsh (may Allah be pleased with her) and her face was red, so I asked: What is the matter with you? She said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came in to me while I was asleep and touched me with a stick he (peace and blessings be upon him) had with him - the narrator said: I asked: What was that stick? She said: A white palm stalk - then he said: "By Allah! This is the time when great trials (fitan) have descended." She said: So I said: O Messenger of Allah! Shall we be destroyed while there are righteous people among us? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes, then those who were mindful of Allah will be saved."
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْخَلَّالُ، ثنا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ جَحْشٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتِ جَحْشٍ، قَالَتْ: «كَانَ لَنَا مِخْضَبٌ مِنْ صُفْرٍ كُنْتُ أُرَجِّلُ فِيهِ رَأْسَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ»
It is narrated from Sayyidah Zaynab bint Jahsh (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: "We had a basin of brass in which I used to comb the blessed head of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)."
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ، ثنا حَسَّانُ بْنُ مُوسَى، وَسُوَيْدُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ عُثْمَانَ، ثنا نُعَيْمُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ، قَالُوا: أَنَا ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتِ جَحْشٍ، قَالَتْ: سَأَلْتُ امْرَأَةَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَتْ: إِنَّهَا مُسْتَحَاضَةٌ، فَقَالَ: «تَجْلِسُ أَيَّامَ أَقْرَائِهَا، ثُمَّ تَغْتَسِلُ وَتُؤَخِّرُ الظُّهْرَ، وَتُعَجِّلُ الْعَصْرَ، وَتَغْتَسِلُ وَتُصَلِّي وَتُؤَخِّرُ الْمَغْرِبَ، وَتُعَجِّلُ الْعِشَاءَ وَتُصَلِّيهِمَا، وَتَغْتَسِلُ لِلْفَجْرِ»
It is narrated from Sayyidah Zaynab bint Jahsh (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: I asked about a wife of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and said that she was mustahadah (suffering from prolonged non-menstrual bleeding). He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "She should refrain (from prayer) during the days of her menstruation, then take a ritual bath (ghusl), delay Zuhr and hasten Asr, take a ritual bath and pray; and delay Maghrib and hasten Isha and pray them both; and take a ritual bath for Fajr."
حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدٌ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، ثنا الْأَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ، ثنا شَرِيكٍ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ جَامِعِ بْنِ شَدَّادٍ، عَنْ كُلْثُومٍ، عَنْ زَيْنَبَ، «أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَرَّثَ النِّسَاءَ خِطَطَهُنَّ»
It is narrated from Sayyidah Zaynab (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) made women the heirs of their residential plots of land.
حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدٌ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ إِدْرِيسَ، عَنْ لَيْثٍ، عَنْ حَدْمَرٍ، مَوْلَى لِبَنِي عَبْسٍ، عَنْ مَوْلَى لِزَيْنَبَ بِنْتِ جَحْشٍ يُقَالُ لَهُ: أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ، عَنْ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتِ جَحْشٍ، قَالَتْ: تَقَيَّلَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي بَيْتِي، إِذْ أَقْبَلَ الْحُسَيْنُ وَهُوَ غُلَامٌ حَتَّى جَلَسَ عَلَى بَطْنِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ثُمَّ وَضَعَ ذَكَرَهُ فِي سُرَّتِهِ، قَالَتْ: فَقُمْتُ إِلَيْهِ، فَقَالَ: «ائْتِينِي بِمَاءٍ» فَأَتَيْتُهُ بِمَاءٍ فَصَبَّهُ عَلَيْهِ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: «يُغْسَلُ مِنَ الْجَارِيَةِ، وَيُصَبُّ عَلَيْهِ مِنَ الْغُلَامِ»
Sayyidah Zaynab bint Jahsh (may Allah be pleased with her) said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was taking a midday nap in my house when Sayyiduna Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him), who was still a little boy, came and sat on the stomach of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), then placed his private part on his (peace and blessings be upon him) navel. She said: So I got up towards him, but he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Bring me water." So I brought water, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) poured it over the child, then said: "(The urine of) a girl is washed, and water is poured over (the urine of) a boy."
