حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا يَحْيَى الْحِمَّانِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ حُصَيْنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ، عَنْ مَيْمُونَةَ، قَالَتْ: سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «مَنِ ادَّانَ دَيْنًا يَنْوِي قَضَاءَهُ أَدَّى الله عَنْهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ»
Sayyidah Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "Whoever takes a loan intending to repay it, Allah will repay it on his behalf on the Day of Resurrection."
حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ أَبِي السَّرِيِّ الْعَسْقَلَانِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ بْنِ مَعْنٍ، ثنا أَبِي، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ حُصَيْنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ، قَالَ: ادَّانَتْ مَيْمُونَةُ زَوْجُ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ثَمَانِمِائَةِ دِرْهَمٍ، فَقِيلَ لَهَا: أَتَسْتَدِينِينَ وَلَيْسَ عِنْدَكِ مَا تَقْضِينَ؟ فَقَالَتْ: إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «مَنِ ادَّانَ دَيْنًا وَهُوَ يُحَدِّثُ نَفْسَهُ بِقَضَائِهِ أَعَانَهُ اللهُ عَلَيْهِ»
Sayyidah Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her), the wife of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), owed a debt of eight hundred dirhams. It was said to her: Do you take loans when you have nothing to repay them with? She said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "Whoever takes a loan while resolving in his heart to repay it, Allah helps him with it."
حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثنا جَرِيرٌ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ، عَنْ مَيْمُونَةَ بِنْتِ الْحَارِثِ، قَالَتْ: أَخَذَتِ النَّاسَ سَنَةٌ وَكَانَ الْأَعْرَابُ يَأْتُونَ الْمَدِينَةَ وَكَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَأْمُرُ الرَّجُلَ فَيَأْخُذُ بِيَدِ الرَّجُلِ فَيُضِيفُهُ وَيُعَشِّيهِ، فَجَاءَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ لَيْلَةً وَكَانَ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ طَعَامٌ يَسِيرٌ وَشَيْءٌ مِنْ لَبَنٍ فَأَكَلَهُ الْأَعْرَابِيُّ وَلَمْ يَدَعْ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ شَيْئًا، فَجَاءَ بِهِ لَيْلَةً أَوْ لَيْلَتَيْنِ فَجَعَلَ يَأْكُلُهُ كُلَّهُ، فَقُلْتُ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: اللهُمَّ لَا تُبَارِكْ فِي هَذَا الْأَعْرَابِيِّ يَأْكُلُ طَعَامَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَيَدَعُهُ، ثُمَّ جَاءَ بِهِ لَيْلَةً فَلَمْ يَأْكُلْ مِنَ الطَّعَامِ إِلَّا يَسِيرًا وَلَمْ يَشْرَبْ مِنَ اللَّبَنِ إِلَّا يَسِيرًا، فَقُلْتُ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ذَاكَ وَجَاءَ بِهِ لَيْلَةً وَقَدْ أَسْلَمَ فَقَالَ: «إِنَّ الْكَافِرَ يَأْكُلُ فِي سَبْعَةِ أَمْعَاءٍ وَإِنَّ الْمُؤْمِنَ يَأْكُلُ فِي مِعًى وَاحِدٍ»
Sayyidah Maymunah bint al-Harith (may Allah be pleased with her) said: A year of famine struck the people, and the Bedouins used to come to Madinah. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would instruct a man, and he would take a (Bedouin) man by the hand, make him his guest and give him supper. One night a Bedouin came, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had a little food and some milk, and the Bedouin ate it and left nothing for the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) brought him for one or two (more) nights, and he would eat all of it. So I said in front of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him): O Allah, do not bless this Bedouin; he eats the food of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and leaves him (hungry). Then he brought him one night and he ate only a little of the food and drank only a little of the milk. I mentioned this to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him); he had brought him that night after he had become Muslim. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The disbeliever eats in seven intestines, and the believer eats in one intestine."
