حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ الصَّبَّاحِ الرَّقِّيُّ، ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، قَالَتْ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «يَكُونُ اخْتِلَافٌ عِنْدَ مَوْتِ خَلِيفَةٍ، فَيَخْرُجُ رَجُلٌ مِنْ بَنِي هَاشِمٍ مِنَ الْمَدِينَةِ إِلَى مَكَّةَ فَيَجِيئُهُ نَاسٌ فَيُبَايِعُونَهُ بَيْنَ الرُّكْنِ وَالْمَقَامِ، وَهُوَ كَارِهٌ، فَيُجَهَّزُ لَهُمْ جَيْشًا مِنَ الشَّامِ حَتَّى إِذَا كَانُوا بِالْبَيْدَاءِ خُسِفَ بِهِمْ، فَيَأْتِيهِمْ عَصَائِبُ أَهْلِ الْعِرَاقِ وَأَبْدَالُ الشَّامِ، وَيَنْشُو رَجُلٌ بِالشَّامِ أَخْوَالُهُ كَلْبٌ، فَيُجَهِّزُ إِلَيْهِمْ جَيْشًا، فَيَهْزِمُهُمُ اللهُ، وَتَكُونُ الدَّائِرَةُ عَلَيْهِمْ وَذَلِكَ يَوْمُ كَلْبٍ، وَالْخَائِبُ مَنْ خَابَ مِنْ غَنِيمَةِ كَلْبٍ، وَيَسْتَخْرِجُ الْكُنُوزَ، وَيَقْسِمُ الْأَمْوَالَ، وَيُلْقَى الْإِسْلَامُ بِجِرَابِهِ إِلَى الْأَرْضِ، يَعِيشُ فِي ذَلِكَ سَبْعَ سِنِينَ أَوْ سِتَّ سِنِينَ» . قَالَ عُبَيْدُ اللهِ: فَحَدَّثْتُ بِهِ لَيْثًا، فَقَالَ: حَدَّثَنِيهِ مُجَاهِدٌ
It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There will be a dispute at the death of a caliph, and a man from Banu Hashim will go out from Madinah to Makkah. Then people will come to him and give him the pledge of allegiance between the Corner and the Station, while he himself dislikes it. Then an army will be prepared against them from Syria, until, when they reach al-Bayda', they will be swallowed up by the earth. Then the bands of Iraq and the Abdal of Syria will come to him, and a man will rise up in Syria whose maternal uncles are from the tribe of Kalb. He will prepare an army against them, and Allah will defeat them, and the defeat will fall upon them; that will be called the Day of Kalb, and the deprived one will be he who is deprived of the spoils of Kalb. And he will bring out the treasures and distribute the wealth, and Islam will spread out its belongings upon the earth. He will live in that state for seven years or six years."

حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُوسَى، عَنْ شَيْبَانَ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، أَنَّ أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ، قَالَتْ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّ هِشَامَ بْنَ الْمُغِيرَةِ كَانَ يُطْعِمُ الطَّعَامَ، وَيَقْرِي الضَّيْفَ، وَيَصِلُ الرَّحِمَ، وَيَفُكُّ الْعَانِيَ، فَلَوْ أَدْرَكَكَ أَسْلَمَ، فَهَلْ لَهُ فِي ذَلِكَ أَجْرٌ؟، قَالَ: «إِنَّهُ عَمُّكِ كَانَ يُعْطِي لِلدُّنْيَا وَذِكْرِهَا وَجَمَالِهَا، وَمَا قَالَ يَوْمًا قَطُّ اغْفِرْ لِي يَوْمَ الدِّينِ»
It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: O Messenger of Allah! Hisham bin al-Mughirah used to feed people, honour guests, maintain ties of kinship and free captives; had he lived in your time he would have accepted Islam. So will he have any reward for that? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "That uncle of yours used to give for the sake of the world, its renown and its adornment, and never on a single day did he say: O Allah, forgive me on the Day of Recompense."
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، ثنا وَكِيعٌ، ثنا الْمِنْهَالُ بْنُ خَلِيفَةَ، عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، قَالَتْ: «إِنْ كَانَتْ إِحْدَانَا لَتَحِيضُ وَمَا لَهَا إِلَّا ثَوْبٌ وَاحِدٌ، وَإِنَّ إِحْدَانَا الْيَوْمَ لَتُفْرِغُ خَادِمَهَا لِتَغْسِلَ ثِيَابَهَا لِيُطَهِّرَهَا»
Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: "One of us would menstruate while she had only a single garment, and today one of us frees her maidservant just so that she may wash her clothes and purify them."
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْخَلَّالُ، ثنا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، قَالَ: سُئِلَتْ أُمُّ سَلَمَةَ هَلْ تُغَطِّي الْمَرْأَةُ وَجْهَهَا وَهِيَ مُحْرِمَةٌ؟، فَقَالَتْ: «كَانَ الرَّكْبُ يَمُرُّونَ عَلَيْنَا، وَنَحْنُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَتَسْدُلُ إِحْدَانَا عَلَى وَجْهِهَا الثَّوْبَ»
Mujahid narrated: Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) was asked whether a woman may cover her face while in the state of ihram. She said: "Riders used to pass by us while we were with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and one of us would let a cloth hang down over her face."
