Abdullah bin al-Harith (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Mu'awiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) sent his messenger to Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her), so she went along with the messenger. He asked Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her), and she said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade it, meaning the two rak'ahs after Asr. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was one day in my house performing ablution (wudu) for Zuhr, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) had sent out a collector of zakah, and the Muhajirun were with him (peace and blessings be upon him), and their situation was worrying him (peace and blessings be upon him), when there was a knock at the door. He (peace and blessings be upon him) went out and led the Zuhr prayer, then he came and distributed the wealth that had arrived, and he kept doing so until he prayed Asr. Then he entered his house and prayed two rak'ahs, and then he said: "The matter of the sa'i (the collector of zakah) kept me busy from praying these two rak'ahs after Zuhr, so I have prayed them after Asr."

It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A man will be given the pledge of allegiance between the Corner and the Station of Ibrahim by people equal in number to the people of Badr. Then the bands of the people of Iraq and the Abdal (righteous people) of Syria will come to him. Then an army from the direction of Syria will march against them, until, when they reach al-Bayda', they will be swallowed up by the earth. Then a man from Quraysh whose maternal uncles are from the tribe of Kalb will fight them; the two sides will meet, and Allah will defeat them." So it used to be said: The deprived one is he who is deprived of the spoils of Kalb.
