حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، ثنا يَحْيَى الْحِمَّانِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو إِسْرَائِيلَ، عَنْ زُبَيْدٍ، عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، أَنَّ الْآيَةَ نَزَلَتْ فِي بَيْتِهَا {إِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ اللهُ لِيُذْهِبَ عَنْكُمُ الرِّجْسَ أَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ وَيُطَهِّرَكُمْ تَطْهِيرًا} [الأحزاب: ٣٣] ، وَرَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَعَلِيٌّ وَفَاطِمَةُ وَالْحَسَنُ وَالْحُسَيْنُ، فَأَخَذَ عَبَاءَةً فَجَلَّلَهُمْ بِهَا ثُمَّ قَالَ: «اللهُمَّ هَؤُلَاءِ أَهْلُ بَيْتِي، فَأَذْهِبْ عَنْهُمُ الرِّجْسَ وَطَهِّرْهُمْ تَطْهِيرًا» ، فَقُلْتُ وَأَنَا عِنْدَ عَتَبَةِ الْبَابِ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ وَأَنَا مَعَهُمْ؟ قَالَ: «إِنَّكِ بِخَيْرٍ وَإِلَى خَيْرٍ» .
Shahr bin Hawshab (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that this verse was revealed in her house: "Allah only intends to remove impurity from you, O people of the household, and to purify you thoroughly" [Surah al-Ahzab: 33], while the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), Sayyiduna Ali, Sayyidah Fatimah, Sayyiduna Hasan and Sayyiduna Husayn (may Allah be pleased with them) were present. He (peace and blessings be upon him) took a cloak and covered them with it, then said: "O Allah, these are the people of my household, so remove impurity from them and purify them thoroughly." Then I, while I was at the threshold of the door, said: "O Messenger of Allah, am I also with them?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You are upon goodness and heading towards goodness."
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ زُهَيْرٍ، ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمَسْرُوقِيُّ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ثنا هِلَالُ بْنُ مِقْلَاصٍ، عَنْ زُبَيْدٍ، عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَحْوَهُ .
A similar hadith is also narrated from Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her).
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ، ثنا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحَرِيشِ، ثنا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ زُبَيْدٍ، عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَحْوَهُ.
A similar hadith is also narrated from Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her).
حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ السِّرَاجُ، ثنا ابْنُ أَبِي الْحُسَيْنِ، ثنا جَعْفَرٌ الْأَحْمَرُ، عَنِ الْأَجْلَحِ، عَنْ زُبَيْدٍ، عَنْ شَهْرٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ مِثْلَهُ
A hadith like it is also narrated from Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her).
