حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، ثنا يَحْيَى الْحِمَّانِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنِ الْمُعَلَّى الْأَسَدِيِّ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ قُرَّةَ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، قَالَتْ: كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ «يَبْدَأُ بِالشَّرَابِ إِذَا كَانَ صَائِمًا، وَكَانَ لَا يَعُبُّ يَشْرَبُ مَرَّتَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلَاثًا»
It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was fasting, he would first drink water at the time of breaking the fast, and he would not gulp it down in one breath but would drink in two or three times.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عُمَرَ الضَّرِيرُ، ثنا ابْنُ يُونُسَ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنِ الْمُعَلَّى الْمَالِكِيِّ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ قُرَّةَ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، قَالَتْ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ «لَا يَعُبُّ فِي شَرَابِهِ مَرَّتَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلَاثًا»
It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) drank water, he would not gulp it down in one breath but would drink in two or three times.
