Sayyiduna Abu Abd al-Rahman al-Juhani (may Allah be pleased with him) said: We were sitting with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) when suddenly two riders appeared. When he (peace and blessings be upon him) saw them, he said: "These two are Kindi and Madhhiji." When they reached him (peace and blessings be upon him), they were indeed two men from Madhhij. One of them came close to him (peace and blessings be upon him) to give the pledge of allegiance, and when he took hold of his (peace and blessings be upon him) hand, he said: O Messenger of Allah, what do you say about one who sees you, believes in you, affirms you and follows you - what is there for him? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Glad tidings (tuba) are for him." Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) passed his hand over his hand, and he left.
