Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 18949 — Surraq bought cloth, which he had

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Abd al-Rahman al-Qayni (may Allah be pleased with him) that Surraq bought cloth, which he had brought (to sell), from a man who had recited Surah al-Baqarah. Then he kept putting him off (over payment) and hid from him. Then he caught him and brought him to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Sell Surraq." He said: So I took him away, and the Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) kept bargaining with me over him for three days; then I changed my mind and set him free.
