حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ بَحْرٍ، ثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ، ثَنَا الْأَحْوَصُ بْنُ حَكِيمٍ، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ صُهَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِي ثَعْلَبَةَ الْخُشَنِيِّ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنَّ اللهَ يَطْلُعُ عَلَى عِبَادِهِ لَيْلَةَ النِّصْفِ مِنْ شَعْبَانَ فَيَغْفِرُ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَيُمْلِي الْكَافِرِينَ وَيَدَعُ أَهْلَ الْحِقْدِ بِحِقْدِهِمْ حَتَّى يَدْعُوهُ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Tha'labah al-Khushani (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah Almighty looks upon His servants with mercy on the fifteenth night of Sha'ban; He forgives the believers, gives respite to the disbelievers, and leaves the people of rancour with their rancour until they give it up."
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الجُذُوعِيُّ الْقَاضِي، ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَرْزُوقٍ، ثَنَا يَزِيدُ، عَنِ الْأَحْوَصِ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ، عَنْ حَكِيمِ بْنِ صُهَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِي ثَعْلَبَةَ، قَالَ: «كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَصُومُ شَعْبَانَ وَرَمَضَانَ يُصَلِّهِمَا جَمِيعًا»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Tha'labah (may Allah be pleased with him); he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to fast Sha'ban and Ramadan, joining the two together.
