حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ، ثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا خَرَجَ فِي بَعْضِ أَسْفَارِهِ وَكَانَ إِذَا ذَهَبَ أَبْعَدَ , وَأَمَرَنِي أَنْ أَتَّبِعَهُ بِوَضُوءٍ , فَجَاءَ وَعَلَيْهِ جُبَّةٌ شَامِيَّةٌ , فَأَخْرَجَ يَدَهُ مِنْ تَحْتِهَا فَتَوَضَّأَ وَمَسَحَ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ "
Abu Salamah bin Abdur-Rahman (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that Mughirah bin Shu'bah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Whenever the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) set out on one of his journeys and went (to relieve himself), he would go far away. He (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered me to follow him with water for ablution. Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) came, wearing a Syrian jubbah; he (peace and blessings be upon him) brought his hand out from under it, performed ablution, and wiped over his leather socks.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو يَزِيدَ الْقَرَاطِيسِيُّ، ثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْأَزْرَقُ، ثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ، قَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا ذَهَبَ الْمَذْهَبَ أَبْعَدَ , فَذَهَبَ لِحَاجَةٍ وَهُوَ فِي بَعْضِ أَسْفَارِهِ فَقَالَ: «ائْتِنِي بِوَضُوءٍ» , فَجِئْتُهُ بِوَضُوءٍ , فَأَخْرَجَ يَدَيْهِ مِنْ تَحْتِ الْجُبَّةِ فَتَوَضَّأَ وَمَسَحَ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Mughirah bin Shu'bah (may Allah be pleased with him); he said: Whenever the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) went (to relieve himself), he would go far away. On one journey he (peace and blessings be upon him) went to relieve himself and said: "Bring me water for ablution." I brought him (peace and blessings be upon him) water for ablution, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) brought his hands out from under the jubbah, performed ablution, and wiped over his leather socks.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ، قَالَ , حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، ثَنَا يَعْلَى بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ، قَالَ: كُنْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي بَعْضِ أَسْفَارِهِ وَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا ذَهَبَ فِي حَاجَةٍ أَبْعَدَ الْمَذْهَبَ , فَقَالَ: «اتْبَعْنِي بِالْمَاءِ» , فَاتَّبَعْتُهُ بِإِدَاوَةٍ , وَكَانَتْ عَلَيْهِ جُبَّةٌ شَامِيَّةٌ ضَيِّقَةُ الْكُمَّيْنِ فَأَخْرَجَ يَدَيْهِ مِنْ تَحْتِ الْجُبَّةِ , فَتَوَضَّأَ وَمَسَحَ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Mughirah bin Shu'bah (may Allah be pleased with him); he said: I was with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) on one of his (peace and blessings be upon him) journeys, and whenever the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) went to relieve himself, he would go far away. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Follow me with water." So I followed him (peace and blessings be upon him) with water in a vessel. He (peace and blessings be upon him) was wearing a Syrian jubbah with tight sleeves, so he (peace and blessings be upon him) brought his hands out from under the jubbah, performed ablution, and wiped over his leather socks.
حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ، ثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عُلَيَّةَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ، قَالَ: «كُنْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي بَعْضِ أَسْفَارِهِ فَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا ذَهَبَ أَبْعَدَ الْمَذْهَبَ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Mughirah bin Shu'bah (may Allah be pleased with him); he said: "I was with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) on one of his (peace and blessings be upon him) journeys, and whenever the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) went (to relieve himself), he would go far away."
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَيَّانَ الْمَازِنِيُّ، ثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ عِيسَى الْيَمَامِيُّ، ثَنَا عِكْرِمَةُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ الْمُغِيرَةُ بْنُ شُعْبَةَ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: إِنِّي ذَكَرْتُ فُلَانَةً أَتُطْلِقُ لِي أَنْ أَرَاهَا؟ قَالَ: «نَعَمْ» , فَإِنْ كُنْتُ لَأَحْتَالُهَا فِي أُصُولِ النَّخْلِ لِتَمُرَّ بِي "
Abu Salamah (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that Mughirah bin Shu'bah (may Allah be pleased with him) said to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him): I mentioned a certain woman; do you permit me to look at her? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes." So I would contrive near the trunks of the date palms so that she would pass in front of me.
