حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ، ثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ الرَّمَادِيُّ، ثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، ثَنَا مِسْعَرٌ، عَنْ جَامِعِ بْنِ شَدَّادٍ أَبِي صَخْرَةَ، عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي عَقِيلٍ، عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ، قَالَ: ضِفْتُ لِرَسُولِ الله صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , فَأَمَرَ لِي بِجَنْبٍ فَشُوِي وَأَخَذَ مِنْ شَارِبِي عَلَى سِوَاكٍ بِالشَّفْرَةِ , فَجَعَلَ يَجُزُّ بِهَا مِنْهُ , فَجَاءَ بِلَالٌ يُؤْذِنُهُ بِالصَّلَاةِ فَأَلْقَى الشَّفْرَةَ وَقَالَ لَهُ: «تَرِبَتْ يَدَاكَ» قَالَ: وَكَانَ شَارِبِي قَدْ وَفَي فَقَصَّهُ عَلَيَّ "
Mughirah bin Abdullah bin Abi Aqil (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from Sayyiduna Mughirah bin Shu'bah (may Allah be pleased with him); he said: I became a guest of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered a side of ribs (meat) for me, which was roasted. He (peace and blessings be upon him) trimmed my moustache with a knife, (placing it) over a tooth-stick (siwak), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) began cutting (meat) from it (the ribs) with it (the knife). Then Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) came to inform him of the prayer, so he (peace and blessings be upon him) put down the knife and said to him: "May your hands be covered in dust." He said: My moustache had grown long, so he (peace and blessings be upon him) trimmed it.
حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ، ثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ مِسْعَرٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو صَخْرَةَ جَامِعُ بْنُ شَدَّادٍ، , عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ، قَالَ: ضِفْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ فَأَمَرَ بِجَنْبٍ فَشُوِيَ ثُمَّ أَخَذَ الشَّفْرَةَ فَجَعَلَ يَجُزُّ بِهَا مِنْهُ فَجَاءَ بِلَالٌ يُؤْذِنُهُ بِالصَّلَاةِ فَأَلْقَىَ الشَّفْرَةَ وَقَالَ: «مَا لَهُ تَرِبَتْ يَدَاهُ؟» قَالَ: وَكَانَ شَارِبِي قَدْ وَفَي فَقَصَّهُ عَلَى سِوَاكٍ "
It is narrated from Mughirah bin Shu'bah (may Allah be pleased with him); he said: One night I became a guest of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered a side of ribs (meat), which was roasted. Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) took up the knife and began cutting (meat) from it (the ribs) with it. Then Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) came to inform him of the prayer, so he (peace and blessings be upon him) put down the knife and said: "What is the matter with him, may his hands be covered in dust?" He said: My moustache had grown long, so he (peace and blessings be upon him) placed it over a tooth-stick (siwak) and trimmed it.
حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عَمْرٍو الْوَكِيعِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ح، وَحَدَّثَنَا غَيْلَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الصَّمَدِ مَاغِمَةُ، ثَنَا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ دِينَارٍ، قَالَا , ثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ السَّلُولِيُّ، عَنْ غَالِبِ بْنِ نَجِيحٍ، عَنْ جَامِعِ بْنِ شَدَّادٍ، عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ، قَالَ: تَسَحَّرْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ الله صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِجَنْبٍ مَشْوِيٍّ وَكَانَ يَقْطَعُ بِالْمُدْيَةِ فَقَالَ: «لَقَدْ وَفَي شَارِبُكَ يَا مُغِيرَةُ، فَقَصَّهُ عَلَى سِوَاكٍ بِالشَّفْرَةِ»
It is narrated from Mughirah bin Shu'bah (may Allah be pleased with him); he said: I ate the pre-dawn meal (suhur) of roasted meat with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) was cutting it with a knife. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Mughirah! Your moustache has grown long." So he (peace and blessings be upon him) placed it over a tooth-stick (siwak) and trimmed it with the knife.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، ثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، ثَنَا مِسْعَرُ بْنُ كِدَامٍ، عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ عِلَاقَةَ، عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ،: قَالَ ضِفْت بِآلِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَجَزَّ لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ مِنْ جَنْبِ شَاةٍ بِالشَّفْرَةِ , فَأَذَّنَ بِلَالٌ بِالْفَجْرِ فَأَلْقَى الشَّفْرَةَ وَقَالَ: «مَا لَهُ , تَرِبَتْ يَدَاهُ؟» وَكَانَ شَارِبِي طَوِيلًا قَدْ وَفَي فَقَالَ: «أَقُصُّهُ لَكَ؟» فَقَصَّهُ عَلَى سِوَاكٍ "
It is narrated from Mughirah bin Shu'bah (may Allah be pleased with him); he said: I became a guest of the household of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) cut (meat) for me from a side of a goat with a knife. Then Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) called the adhan for Fajr, so he (peace and blessings be upon him) put down the knife and said: "What is the matter with him, may his hands be covered in dust?" My moustache had grown long, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Shall I trim it for you?" So he (peace and blessings be upon him) placed it over a tooth-stick (siwak) and trimmed it.
