حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا عَارِمٌ أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ، ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَوْنٍ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ، مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكُوفَةِ يُقَالُ لَهُ: أَبُو رَمْلَةَ، عَنْ مِخْنَفِ بْنِ سُلَيْمٍ، قَالَ: خَطَبَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِعَرَفَةَ فَقَالَ: «عَلَى كُلِّ أَهْلِ بَيْتٍ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ أَضْحًى وَعَتِيرَةٌ، تَدْرُونَ مَا الْعَتِيرَةُ؟ الَّتِي تَقُولُونَ الرَّجَبِيَّةَ»
Sayyiduna Mikhnaf bin Sulaym (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) addressed us at Arafah and said: "Upon every Muslim household a sacrifice (udhiyah) and an 'atirah are obligatory. Do you know what the 'atirah is? It is the one you call the Rajabiyyah."
حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى بْنِ مُعَاذٍ، ثنا أَبِي، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثنا مُعَاذٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَوْنٍ، قَالَ: أَنْبَأَنِي أَبُو رَمْلَةَ، عَنْ مِخْنَفِ بْنِ سُلَيْمٍ، قَالَ: كُنَّا وُقُوفًا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: «يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ، إِنَّ» عَلَى كُلِّ أَهْلِ بَيْتٍ فِي كُلِّ عَامٍ أَضْحًى وَعَتِيرَةً، أَتَدْرُونَ مَا الْعَتِيرَةُ؟ هِيَ الَّتِي يُسَمِّيهَا النَّاسُ الرَّجَبِيَّةَ "
Sayyiduna Mikhnaf bin Sulaym (may Allah be pleased with him) said: We were standing with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O people! Indeed, upon every household, every year, a sacrifice and an 'atirah are obligatory. Do you know what the 'atirah is? It is the one that people call the Rajabiyyah."
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ، أَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ الْكَرِيمِ، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ مِخْنَفٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: انْتَهَيْتُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ عَرَفَةَ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ: «هَلْ تَعْرِفُونَهَا؟» وَلَا أَدْرِي مَا رَجَعُوا عَلَيْهِ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «عَلَى أَهْلِ كُلِّ بَيْتٍ أَنْ يَذْبَحُوا شَاةً فِي كُلِّ رَجَبٍ، وَفِي كُلِّ أَضْحًى شَاةٌ»
Sayyiduna Mikhnaf bin Sulaym (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I reached the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) on the day of Arafah while he was saying: "Do you know it?" I do not know what the people answered him. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It is due upon every household that they slaughter a sheep every Rajab, and also a sheep at every sacrifice (Eid al-Adha)."
