حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْقَتَّاتُ الْكُوفِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْحَمِيدِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، ثنا حَفْصُ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي خَالِدٍ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، عَنْ مِرْدَاسٍ الْأَسْلَمِيِّ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «يَذْهَبُ الصَّالِحُونَ أَسْلَافًا حَتَّى لَا يَبْقَى إِلَّا حُثَالَةٌ كَحُثَالَةِ التَّمْرِ وَالشَّعِيرِ، لَا يُبَالِي اللهُ بِهِمْ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Mirdas al-Aslami (may Allah be pleased with him); he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The righteous will pass away first, one after another, until only the worthless remain, like the refuse of dates and barley; Allah will not care about them at all."
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ، وَعَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ، قَالَا: ثنا وَهْبُ بْنُ بَقِيَّةَ، أَنَا خَالِدٌ، عَنْ بَيَانَ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، عَنْ مِرْدَاسٍ الْأَسْلَمِيِّ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «يَذْهَبُ الصَّالِحُونَ أَسْلَافًا، وَيُقْبَضُ الصَّالِحُونَ الْأَوَّلَ فَالْأَوَّلَ، حَتَّى تَبْقَى حُثَالَةٌ كَحُثَالَةِ التَّمْرِ وَالشَّعِيرِ، لَا يُبَالِي اللهُ بِهِمْ»
Sayyiduna Mirdas al-Aslami (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "The righteous will pass away first, one after another, and the righteous will be taken away one after the other, until only the worthless remain, like the refuse of dates and barley; Allah will not care about them at all."
