حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، ثنا أَبُو يَعْلَى الثَّوْرِيُّ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ ابْنِ الْحَنَفِيَّةِ، أَنَّ عَلِيًّا قَالَ: اسْتَحْيَيْتُ أَنْ أَسْأَلَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْمَذْي، وَكَانَتِ ابْنَتُهُ تَحْتِي، فَأَمَرْتُ الْمِقْدَادَ فَسَأَلَهُ فَقَالَ: «فِيهِ الْوُضُوءُ»
It is narrated from Muhammad ibn al-Hanafiyyah that Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I felt too shy to ask the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about madhi (pre-seminal fluid), because his daughter was married to me. So I told Sayyiduna Miqdad (may Allah be pleased with him) to ask him (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It requires ablution."
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ عَائِشِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ لِلْمِقْدَادِ: سَلْ لِي رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ رَجُلٍ يُلَاعِبُ امْرَأَتَهُ ويُكَلِّمُهَا فَيُمْذِي، فَلَوْلَا أَنِّي أَسْتَحِيِي مِنْهُ، وَأَنَّ ابْنَتَهُ تَحْتِي لَسَأَلْتُهُ، فَسَأَلَهُ الْمِقْدَادُ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لِيَغْسِلْ ذَكَرَهُ ثُمَّ لِيَتَوَضَّأْ، ثُمَّ لِيَنْضَحْ فَرْجَهُ»
A'ish bin Anas (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Sayyiduna Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) said to Sayyiduna Miqdad (may Allah be pleased with him): Ask the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) on my behalf about a man who fondles his wife and talks with her, and then madhi (pre-seminal fluid) comes out of him. Were it not that I feel shy of him (peace and blessings be upon him) and that his daughter is married to me, I would have asked him myself. So Sayyiduna Miqdad (may Allah be pleased with him) asked him (peace and blessings be upon him), and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "He should wash his private organ, then perform ablution, then sprinkle water on his private parts."
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، وَابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، أَنَّ عَلِيًّا قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِلْمِقْدَادِ: سَلْ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَإِنِّي لَوْلَا أَنَّ تَحْتِيَ ابْنَتَهُ لَسَأَلْتُهُ، عَنْ أَحَدِنَا إِذَا مَا اقْتَرَبَ مِنِ امْرَأَتِهِ فَأَمْذَى، وَلَمْ يَمْلِكْ ذَلِكَ وَلَمْ يَمَسَّهَا؟ فَسَأَلَ الْمِقْدَادُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِذَا أَمْذَى أَحَدُكُمْ وَلَمْ يَمَسَّهَا فَلْيَغْسِلْ ذَكَرَهُ وَأُنْثَيَيْهِ»
It is narrated from Urwah (may Allah have mercy on him) that Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I said to Miqdad (may Allah be pleased with him): Ask the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), for were it not that his daughter is married to me, I would have asked him myself, about one of us who, when he draws near to his wife, emits madhi (pre-seminal fluid) which he cannot control, though he has not even touched her. So Sayyiduna Miqdad (may Allah be pleased with him) asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When any of you emits madhi and has not touched her, let him wash his private organ and his testicles."
حَدَّثَنَا إِدْرِيسُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْعَطَّارُ، ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، أَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ الْمِقْدَادِ، قَالَ: قَالَ لِي عَلِيٌّ: سَلْ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الرَّجُلِ يُلَاعِبُ أَهْلَهُ فَيَخْرُجُ مِنْهُ الْمَذْيُ؟ فَقُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، أَرَأَيْتَ الرَّجُلَ يُلَاعِبُ أَهْلَهُ فَيَخْرُجُ مِنْهُ الْمَذْيُ؟ فَقَالَ: «يَغْسِلُ فَرْجَهُ، وَيَتَوَضَّأُ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلَاةِ»
Sayyiduna Miqdad (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said to me: Ask the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) about a man who fondles his wife and madhi (pre-seminal fluid) comes out of him. So I said: O Messenger of Allah! Tell me about a man who fondles his wife and madhi comes out of him. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "He should wash his private parts, and perform ablution like the ablution for prayer."
