Abu Bakr bin Abi Zuhayr al-Thaqafi narrates from his father, Sayyiduna Abu Zuhayr (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say during his sermon at al-Banawah - or al-Nabawah - in Ta'if: "Soon you will come to know the people of Paradise from the people of Hell, or your good ones from your bad ones." - Nafi' said: I think he said nothing other than "the people of Paradise from the people of Hell" - A man said: By what means, O Messenger of Allah? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "By good praise and bad praise; you are witnesses over one another."
