حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ، ثَنَا حَيْوَةُ بْنُ شُرَيْحٍ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ بَحْرٍ، قَالَا: ثَنَا بَقِيَّةُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ، ثَنَا بَحِيرُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ مَعْدَانَ، عَنْ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ نُفَيْرٍ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ قَالَ: أُهْدِيَتْ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَغْلَةٌ شَهْبَاءُ فَرَكِبَهَا فَأَخَذَ عُقْبَةَ يَقُودُهَا، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «اقْرَأْ» قَالَ: مَا أَقْرَأُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ قَالَ: قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ فَقَالَ: «مَا قُمْتَ تُصَلِّي بِشَيْءٍ مِثْلِهَا»
Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) said: A white mule was gifted to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and when he (peace and blessings be upon him) rode it, Sayyiduna Uqbah began to lead it. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Recite." He said: O Messenger of Allah! What shall I recite? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Recite Surah al-Falaq. Then he said: "You will not pray with anything like it."
حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، ثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحِمَّانِيُّ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ، ثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، قَالَا: ثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، عَنْ بَحِيرِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ صَالِحٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ نُفَيْرٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْمُعَوِّذَتَيْنِ قَالَ عُقْبَةَ: «فَأَمَّنَا بِهِمَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي صَلَاةِ الْفَجْرِ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) that he asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) about the Mu'awwidhatayn. Sayyiduna Uqbah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) led us in the Fajr prayer with these two."
