Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do you know who will be the first to enter Paradise?" The Companions said: Allah and His Messenger know best. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The poor among the Muhajirun, through whom hardships are warded off from others. One of them dies with his need still in his chest, unable to fulfil it. The angels will say: 'Our Lord, we are Your angels, Your treasurers and the dwellers of Your heavens; do not admit them into Paradise before us.' Allah will say: 'These are My servants who do not associate anything with Me; hardships were warded off through them; one of them would die with his need still in his chest, unable to fulfil it.' At that, the angels will enter upon them from every gate: 'Peace be upon you for what you patiently endured; how excellent is the final home!' [Surah al-Ra'd: 24]."

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "The first group to enter Paradise will be the poor among the Muhajirun, through whom hardships are warded off. When they were commanded, they listened and obeyed; and if one of them had a need from a ruler, it would not be fulfilled until he died with that need still in his chest. Indeed, Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, will call Paradise on the Day of Resurrection, and it will come with its splendour and adornment. Allah will say: 'Where are My servants who fought in My path, were harmed in My path and strove (made jihad) in My path? Enter without punishment and without reckoning.' The angels will come and prostrate and say: 'Our Lord, we glorify You night and day and proclaim Your holiness; who are these whom You have preferred over us?' The Lord, exalted be His remembrance, will say: 'These are My servants who fought in My path, were harmed in My path and strove in My path.' Then the angels will enter upon them from every gate: 'Peace be upon you for what you patiently endured; how excellent is the final home!' [Surah al-Ra'd: 24]."
