حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ، قَالَ: ثنا شُعَيْبُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، عَنِ ابْنِ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، أَنَّ أَسْلَمَ أَبَا عِمْرَانَ، حَدَّثَهُ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عَمْرٍو كَانَ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَأَقْبَلَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْأَعْرَابِ، فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنِّي أُحِبُّ الْجِهَادَ وَالْعُمْرَةَ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «هَلْ لَكَ وَالِدَانِ؟» ، قَالَ: نَعَمْ كِلَاهُمَا، قَالَ: «فَارْجِعْ فَأَكْثِرْ صَحَابَتَهُمَا»
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that he was with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) when a Bedouin man came and said: O Messenger of Allah, I love jihad and Umrah. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do you have parents?" He said: Yes, both are living. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Then go back and spend much time in their company and service."
