Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 13750 — a man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: I

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that a man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: I pledge allegiance to you for emigration (hijrah) and jihad, and I seek the reward from Allah. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Is either of your parents alive?" He said: Yes, both are alive. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Then do you seek the reward from Allah?" He said: Yes. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Go back to your parents and keep them good company."
