حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ جُمْهُورٍ السِّمْسَارُ التِّنِّيسِيُّ، قَالَ: ثنا دُحَيْمٌ، قَالَ: ثنا ابْنُ أَبِي فُدَيْكٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي مُوسَى بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ ثَوْبَانَ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ، أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ لَهُ: «كَيْفَ بِكُمْ إِذَا جَاءَ زَمَانٌ يُغَرْبَلُ فِيهِ النَّاسُ غَرْبَلَةً، وَبَقِيتُمْ فِي حُثَالَةٍ مِنَ النَّاسِ قَدْ مَرِجَتْ عُهُودُهُمْ، وَضَيَّعُوا أَمَانَاتِهِمْ، فَعَادُوا هَكَذَا» ، وَأَدْخَلَ أَصَابِعَهُ بَعْضَهُمْ فِي بَعْضٍ، فَقَالُوا: كَيْفَ نَصْنَعُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟، قَالَ: «تَأْخُذُونَ مَا تَعْرِفُونَ، وَتَدَعُونَ مَا تُنْكِرُونَ، وَعَلَيْكُمْ بِخَوَاصِّكُمْ، وَدَعُوا عَوَامَّكُمْ» .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr bin al-As (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: "How will you be when a time comes in which people will be thoroughly sifted, and you will remain among the worthless dregs of people, whose covenants have become corrupted and who have squandered their trusts, and they become like this," and he put his fingers into one another. The Companions said: O Messenger of Allah, what should we do? He said: "You will take what you know (to be good), and leave what you consider evil; look after your own particular people and leave your common people."
حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ رَاهَوَيْهِ، قَالَ: ثنا أَبِي قَالَ: ثنا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ حَزْمٍ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِثْلَهُ
Umarah bin Amr bin Hazm (may Allah have mercy on him) narrated a similar hadith from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him).
