It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "How will you be when you remain among the worthless dregs of people, whose covenants and trusts have become corrupted, whose paths have parted ways, and who have become like this," and he put his fingers into one another in a crisscross manner. He said: O Messenger of Allah, what will be the way out (of it)? He said: "Take what you know, leave what you consider evil, concern yourself with your own particular affair, and beware of the common people (and their affairs)."
