Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever fasts on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, then on Friday gives in charity whatever little of his wealth he can, every sin he has committed will be forgiven, until he becomes free of sins as on the day his mother gave birth to him."

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "An angel descended upon me from the heaven who had not descended upon any prophet before me, nor will he descend upon anyone after me. He was Israfil, and with him was Jibril (peace be upon him). He said: 'Al-salamu alayka, O Muhammad!' Then he said: 'I am the messenger of your Lord to you. I have been ordered to tell you: if you wish, be a servant-prophet, and if you wish, be a king-prophet.' I looked at Jibril (peace be upon him), and Jibril gestured to me to be humble." Thereupon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A servant-prophet." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Had I said 'a king-prophet' and then wished, the mountains would have moved along with me as gold."

Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "By the One in whose Hand is my soul, the world is more insignificant to Allah than this young goat is to its owners. And if the world were worth even the weight of a mustard seed to Allah, He would not give it to anyone except His friends and His beloved ones from among His creation."

Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever says: 'There is no true god but Allah alone, He has no partner; to Him belongs the dominion and to Him belongs all praise; He is the Ever-Living who does not die; in His Hand is all good, and He has power over all things', seeking by it nothing but the pleasure of Allah, Allah will admit him by it into the Gardens of Bliss."
