حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا عُمَرُ بْنُ حَفْصِ بْنِ غِيَاثٍ، ثنا أَبِي، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي الْعَاصِ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَذَكَرَ الْحَيَّاتِ: «مَنْ خَشِيَ ثَأْرَهُنَّ فَلَيْسَ مِنِّي»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Uthman bin Abi al-As (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), while mentioning snakes, said: "Whoever fears (being harmed in) their revenge is not of me."
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا عُمَرُ بْنُ حَفْصِ بْنِ غِيَاثٍ، ثنا أَبِي، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي الْعَاصِ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " لَقَدِ اسْتَجَنَّ بِجُنَّةٍ حَصِينَةٍ مِنَ النَّارِ: رَجُلٌ سَلَفَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ ثَلَاثَةٌ مِنْ صُلْبِهِ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Uthman bin Abi al-As (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A man three of whose own offspring have died before him in (the state of) Islam has taken a strong shield against the Fire."
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثنا فَرْوَةُ بْنُ أَبِي الْمُعِزِّ، أَنَا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ الْمُزَنِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْعَاصِ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي الْعَاصِ، قَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا اشْتَدَّتِ الرِّيحُ الشَّمَالُ قَالَ: «اللهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا أَرْسَلْتَ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Uthman bin Abi al-As (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the north wind blew strongly, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would say: "Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min sharri ma arsalt (O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the evil of what You have sent)."
