حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْحِنَّائِيُّ، ثنا سَيَّارُ بْنُ فَرُّوخٍ، ثنا عِيسَى بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ، عَنْ حَفْصِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «صَنَائِعُ الْمَعْرُوفِ تَقِي مَصَارِعَ السُّوءِ، وَصَدَقَةُ السِّرِّ تُطْفِئُ غَضَبَ الرَّبِّ، وَصِلَةُ الرَّحِمِ تَزِيدُ فِي الْعُمُرِ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Acts of kindness protect against evil deaths, charity given in secret extinguishes the wrath of the Lord, and maintaining ties of kinship increases one's lifespan."
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْحِنَّائِيُّ، ثنا شَيْبَانُ بْنُ فَرُّوخَ، ثنا عِيسَى بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ، عَنْ حَفْصِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنَّ أَهْلَ الْمَعْرُوفِ فِي الدُّنْيَا هُمْ أَهْلُ الْمَعْرُوفِ فِي الْآخِرَةِ، وَإِنَّ أَوَّلَ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ دُخُولًا الْجَنَّةَ أَهْلُ الْمَعْرُوفِ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Those who do good in this world are the very ones who will be the people of good in the Hereafter, and the first of the people of Paradise to enter Paradise will be the people who do good."
