It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him): We set out with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) on a military expedition, and he ordered the caller, who announced: "Whoever is weak, let him go back." So the people began to turn back until they reached a narrow place on the road, and a man's she-camel threw him and broke his neck, killing him. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saw him and called out to the Muslims, and the people came to him. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "What is the matter with you, and what has held you back?" They said: O Messenger of Allah, so-and-so reached the narrow place on the road, and his mount broke his neck and killed him. The narrator said: They called upon him (peace and blessings be upon him) to lead the (funeral) prayer over him, but he (peace and blessings be upon him) refused. Then he ordered a caller, who announced: "Paradise is not lawful for a disobedient one."
