Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saying in the year of the Farewell Hajj: "Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, has given everyone who has a right his due; there is no bequest for an heir."
"The child belongs to the owner of the bed (the husband), and for the adulterer is the stone (deprivation); their reckoning is with Allah, the Mighty and Majestic. Whoever attributes himself to someone other than his father, or attaches himself to other than his own freeing masters, upon him is the curse of Allah, lasting until the Day of Resurrection."
"And no woman should spend anything from her house without her husband's permission." It was said: O Messenger of Allah, not even food? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "That is the best of our wealth."
Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A borrowed item must be returned, a gift (of a milch animal) must be given back, a debt must be repaid, and the guarantor is liable."
