حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ هِشَامِ بْنِ أَبِي الدُّمَيْكِ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمَدِينِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو ضَمْرَةَ أَنَسُ بْنُ عِيَاضٍ، عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ قَالَ: «كُنْتُ أَتَسَحَّرُ فِي أَهْلِي، ثُمَّ يَكُونُ سُرْعَتِي أَنْ أُدْرِكَ صَلَاةَ الْغَدَاةِ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: "I would eat the pre-dawn meal (suhur) with my family, then my haste would be such that I could catch the Fajr prayer with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)."
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْخَلَّالُ الْمَكِّيُّ، ثنا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ الْأَخْرَمُ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْحَكِيمِ الْوَرَّاقُ قَالَا: ثنا أَنَسُ بْنُ عِيَاضٍ، عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «إِيَّاكُمْ وَمُحَقَّرَاتِ الذُّنُوبِ، فَإِنَّمَا مَثَلُ مُحَقَّرَاتِ الذُّنُوبِ كَمَثَلِ قَوْمٍ نَزَلُوا بَطْنَ وَادٍ، فَجَاءَ ذَا بِعُودٍ، وَجَاءَ ذَا بِعُودٍ، حَتَّى حَمَلُوا مَا أَنْضَجُوا بِهِ خُبْزَهُمْ، وَإِنَّ مُحَقَّرَاتِ الذُّنُوبِ مَتَى يَأْخُذْ بِهَا صَاحِبُهَا تُهْلِكْهُ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Beware of minor sins, for the example of minor sins is like that of a people who camped in a valley; one brought a piece of wood and another brought one too, until they gathered enough wood with which they baked their bread. And indeed, when minor sins seize a person, they destroy him."
حَدَّثَنَا مُصْعَبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ حَمْزَةَ الزُّبَيْرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، ثنا ابْنُ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «بُعِثْتُ أَنَا وَالسَّاعَةُ كَهَاتَيْنِ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I and the Hour have been sent like these two."
