Unaysah bint Zayd bin Arqam narrates from her father that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to visit him during an illness he had, and said: "There is no danger for you in this illness of yours, but how will it be with you when you live on long after me and become blind?" He said: "Then I will hope for the reward and be patient." He said: "Then you will enter Paradise without reckoning." So he became blind after the death of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), then Allah restored his sight to him, then he passed away, may Allah have mercy on him.

Unaysah bint Zayd bin Arqam relates that Sayyiduna Zayd bin Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him) went to al-Mukhtar, and he said: "O Abu Amir! Had you come earlier, you would have seen Jibril and Mika'il." Zayd said: "You have dug a pit and fabricated lies; you are more contemptible in the sight of Allah than I am. That one is a liar, fabricating lies against Allah and His Messenger."

Unaysah bint Zayd bin Arqam narrates from her father, Sayyiduna Zayd bin Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) gave orders concerning the trees, so the ground beneath them was swept clean and sprinkled with water. Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) delivered a sermon to us. By Allah! There was nothing that will happen until the Hour is established except that he (peace and blessings be upon him) informed us of it that day. Then he said: "O people! Who has more right over you than your own selves?" We said: "Allah and His Messenger have more right over us than our own selves." He said: "Then whoever I am his mawla, this one (Ali) is his mawla" - meaning Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him). Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) took hold of his hand and raised it, then said: "O Allah, befriend whoever befriends him and be hostile to whoever is hostile to him."
