حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشِّيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ الشُّعَيْثِيُّ، ثنا ابْنُ عَوْنٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ رَافِعِ بْنِ خَدِيجٍ: «أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنْ كَرْيِ الْأَرْضِ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Rafi' bin Khadij (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade renting out land.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ، ثنا شَيْبَانُ بْنُ فَرُّوخٍ، ثنا أَبُو هِلَالٍ، قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ سِيرِينَ، عَنْ كَرْيِ الْأَرْضِ فَقَالَ: قَالَ رَافِعُ بْنُ خَدِيجٍ: «نَهَانَا نَبِيُّنَا صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - أَوْ نَهَى نَبِيُّ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - عَنْ كَرْيِ الْأَرْضِ»
Abu Hilal (may Allah have mercy on him) relates: I asked Muhammad bin Sirin (may Allah have mercy on him) about renting out land, and he said: Sayyiduna Rafi' bin Khadij (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) - or the Prophet of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) - forbade renting out land."
