حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْمِصْرِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ هَارُونَ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ، قَالَا: ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَجِيدِ الْحَنَفِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْحَمِيدِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، عَنْ مَرْثَدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْيَزَنِيِّ، أَنَّ دَيْلَمَ الْحِمْيَرِيَّ، أَخْبَرَهُمْ، أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّا بِبَلَدٍ بَارِدٍ، وَإِنَّا نَشْرَبُ شَرَابًا نَتَقَوَّى بِهِ، فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «فَهَلْ يُسْكِرُ؟» قَالَ: نَعَمْ، قَالَ: «فَلَا تَقْرَبُوهُ» ثُمَّ أَعَادَ عَلَيْهِ الْمَسْأَلَةَ، فَقَالَ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «يُسْكِرُ؟» فَقَالَ: نَعَمْ، فَقَالَ: «لَا تَقْرَبُوهُ» ، قَالَ: فَإِنَّهُمْ لَنْ يَصْبِرُوا عَنْهُ قَالَ: «فَمَنْ لَمْ يَصْبِرْ عَنْهُ فَاقْتُلُوهُ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Daylam al-Himyari (may Allah be pleased with him) that he asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him): "O Messenger of Allah, we are in a cold land, and we drink a drink by which we gain strength." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: "Does it intoxicate?" He said: "Yes." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Then do not go near it." Then he repeated the same question, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Does it intoxicate?" He said: "Yes." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not go near it." He said: "The people will not be able to give it up." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever cannot give it up, kill him."
حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، قَالَا: ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا هَنَّادُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ، وَأَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، عَنْ مَرْثَدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْيَزَنِيِّ، عَنْ دَيْلَمٍ الْحِمْيَرِيِّ، قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ شَرَابًا مِنْ هَذَا الْقَمْحِ نَتَقَوَّى بِهِ عَلَى أَعْمَالِنَا وَعَلَى بَرْدِ بِلَادِنَا، قَالَ: «هَلْ يُسْكِرْ؟» قُلْتُ: نَعَمْ، قَالَ: «فَاجْتَنِبُوهُ» ، ثُمَّ جِئْتُهُ مِنْ بَيْنِ يَدَيْهِ، فَقُلْتُ لَهُ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ قَالَ: «هَلْ يُسْكِرُ» قُلْتُ: نَعَمْ، قَالَ: «فَاجْتَنِبُوهُ» قُلْتُ: إِنَّ النَّاسَ غَيْرُ تَارِكِيهِ قَالَ: «فَإِنْ لَمْ يَتْرُكُوهُ فَاقْتُلُوهُمْ»
It is narrated from Daylam al-Himyari (may Allah be pleased with him); he said: I asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "O Messenger of Allah, (what about) a drink made from this wheat, by which we gain strength for our work and against the cold of our land?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Does it intoxicate?" I said: "Yes." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Then avoid it." Then I came before him again and repeated the same thing. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Does it intoxicate?" I said: "Yes." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Then avoid it." I said: "The people will not give it up." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If they do not give it up, then kill them."
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ، ثنا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، ثنا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، وَعَيَّاشِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الْخَيْرِ، عَنْ دَيْلَمٍ الْجَيْشَانِيِّ، قَالَ: أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّا بِأَرْضٍ بَارِدَةٍ شَدِيدَةِ الْبَرْدِ نَصْنَعُ بِهَا شَرَابًا مِنَ الْقَمْحِ أَفَيَحِلُّ شُرْبُهُ قَالَ: «أَيُسْكِرُكُمْ؟» قُلْتُ: بَلَى، قَالَ: «فَإِنَّهُ خَمْرٌ»
It is narrated from Daylam al-Jayshani (may Allah be pleased with him); he said: I came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "O Messenger of Allah, we are in a land that is extremely cold, where we make a drink from wheat. Is it permissible to drink it?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Does it intoxicate you?" I said: "Yes." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Then it is khamr (wine)."
