حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَوَّلِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو يَحْيَى الْحِمَّانِيُّ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا يَحْيَى الْحِمَّانِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ آمِينَ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا وَاقِدٍ اللَّيْثِيَّ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «خُيِّرَ عَبْدٌ مِنْ عَبِيدِ اللهِ بَيْنَ الدُّنْيَا وَمُلْكِهَا وَنَعِيمِهَا وَبَيْنَ الْآخِرَةِ، فَاخْتَارَ الْآخِرَةَ» . فَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ: بَلْ نَفْدِيكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ بِأَمْوَالِنَا وَأَنْفُسِنَا
Sayyiduna Abu Waqid al-Laythi (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "One of the servants of Allah was given the choice between this world, with its dominion and its comforts, and the Hereafter, and he chose the Hereafter." At this Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Rather, we would ransom you with our wealth and our lives, O Messenger of Allah!
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَوَّلِ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْحَمِيدِ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا يَحْيَى الْحِمَّانِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ آمِينَ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا وَاقِدٍ، يَقُولُ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنَّ قَوَائِمَ مِنْبَرِي رَوَاتِبُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ»
Sayyiduna Abu Waqid al-Laythi (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The legs of my pulpit are firmly set in Paradise."
حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا الْحِمَّانِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ آمِينَ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا وَاقِدٍ اللَّيْثِيَّ يَقُولُ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَوْ كُنْتُ مُتَّخِذًا خَلِيلًا لَاتَّخَذْتُ ابْنَ أَبِي قُحَافَةَ خَلِيلًا، وَلَكِنَّ صَاحِبَكُمْ خَلِيلُ اللهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ»
Sayyiduna Abu Waqid al-Laythi (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If I were to take anyone as my khalil (intimate friend), I would take Ibn Abi Quhafah as a khalil; but this companion of yours is the khalil of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic."
