It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jarir bin Abdullah al-Bajali (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man from the Ansar came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) with a pouch of gold that filled the space between his fingers, and said: This is in the path of Allah. Then Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) stood up and gave, then Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) stood up and gave, then the Muhajirun and the Ansar stood up and they too gave. The face of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) lit up, until we saw that radiance on his (peace and blessings be upon him) cheeks. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever introduces a good practice in Islam, and it is acted upon after him, will have a reward equal to their rewards, without anything being reduced from their rewards. And whoever introduces an evil practice in Islam, and it is acted upon after him, will bear a burden of sin equal to their sins, without anything being reduced from their sins."

And no servant introduces an evil practice that is acted upon after him except that he will bear a burden of sin equal to the sin of those who act upon it, without anything being reduced from their sins."

Sayyiduna Jarir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Some people from among the Bedouins came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) saw signs of poverty and hardship upon them. So he (peace and blessings be upon him) addressed the people, praised and extolled Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, then ordered them to give charity, urged them to it and encouraged them in it. But the people were slow in doing so, until this showed on his (peace and blessings be upon him) face. Then a man came with a handful of silver and gave it to him (peace and blessings be upon him), then another came, until the people followed one another in giving charity, until joy was seen on the face of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever introduces a good practice in Islam, and it is acted upon after him, will have its reward and the reward of those who act upon it, without anything being reduced from their rewards.
