Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 2429 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Whoever

حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْفِرْيَابِيُّ، ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ، ثنا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، حَدَّثَنِي الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ هِلَالٍ الْعَبْسِيِّ عَنْ جَرِيرٍ رَضِي اللهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَا مِنْ أَحَدٍ يَسُنُّ سُنَّةً حَسَنَةً فِي الْإِسْلَامِ، فَيُعْمَلُ بِهَا مِنْ بَعْدِهِ إِلَّا كَانَ لَهُ مِثْلُ أَجْرِ مَنْ عَمِلَ بِهَا مِنْ بَعْدِهِ مِنْ غَيْرِ أَنْ يَنْقُصَ مِنْ أُجُورِهِمْ شَيْءٌ، وَمَنْ سَنَّ سُنَّةً سَيِّئَةً فِي الْإِسْلَامِ، فَيُعْمَلُ بِهَا مِنْ بَعْدِهِ إِلَّا كَانَ عَلَيْهِ مِثْلُ أَوْزَارِ الَّذِينَ يَعْمَلُونَ بِهَا مِنْ بَعْدِهِ مِنْ غَيْرِ أَنْ يَنْقُصَ مِنْ أَوْزَارِهِمْ شَيْءٌ»
Sayyiduna Jarir (may Allah be pleased with him) said: the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever introduces a good practice in Islam, and it is acted upon after him, will have a reward equal to the reward of those who act upon it, without anything being reduced from their rewards. And whoever introduces an evil practice in Islam, and it is acted upon after him, will bear a burden of sin equal to the sin of those who act upon it, without anything being reduced from their sins."
