حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْوَكِيعِيُّ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحَجَّاجِ السَّامِيُّ، ثنا سَوَادَةُ بْنُ أَبِي الْأَسْوَدِ، ثنا صَالِحُ بْنُ هِلَالٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمَلِيحِ بْنِ أُسَامَةَ الْهُذَلِيِّ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، عَنْ نَبِيِّ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " إِذَا شَهِدَتْ أُمَّةٌ مِنَ الْأُمَمِ وَهُمْ أَرْبَعُونَ فَصَاعِدًا أَجَازَ اللهُ شَهَادَتَهُمْ - أَوْ قَالَ: صَدَّقَ شَهَادَتَهُمْ - "
Abu al-Malih bin Usamah al-Hudhali narrates: My father, Sayyiduna Usamah (may Allah be pleased with him), told me from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When forty or more people from any community bear witness, Allah accepts their testimony" - or he said: "He confirms their testimony."
حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْمَعْمَرِيُّ، ثنا خَلَفُ بْنُ سَالِمٍ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، ثنا شُعْبَةُ، ثنا مُبَشِّرُ عَنْ أَبِي الْمَلِيحِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «مَا مِنْ رَجُلٍ يُصَلِّي عَلَيْهِ مِائَةٌ إِلَّا غُفِرَ لَهُ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Any man over whom a hundred people offer the funeral prayer is forgiven."
