حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُونُسَ، ثنا الْفُضَيْلُ بْنُ عِيَاضٍ، عَنْ لَيْثٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ سَابِطٍ، عَنْ أَبِي ثَعْلَبَةَ الْخُشَنِيِّ، عَنْ مُعَاذٍ، وَأَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ، قَالَا: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنَّ هَذَا الْأَمْرَ بَدَأَ رَحْمَةً وَنُبَوَّةً، ثُمَّ يَكُونُ رَحْمَةً وَخِلَافَةً، ثُمَّ كَائِنًا مُلْكًا عَضُوضًا، ثُمَّ كَائِنًا عُتَوًّا وَجَبَرِيَّةً، وَفَسَادًا فِي الْأَرْضِ يَسْتَحِلُّونَ الْحَرِيرَ، وَالْفُرُوجَ، وَالْخُمُورَ يُرْزَقُونَ عَلَى ذَلِكَ، وَيُنْصَرُونَ حَتَّى يَلْقَوُا اللهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Mu'adh and Abu Ubaydah (may Allah be pleased with them both); both of them said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "This matter began as mercy and Prophethood, then it will be mercy and caliphate, then it will become a biting kingship, then it will become arrogance, tyranny and corruption in the land. They will deem silk, unlawful private parts and wine to be lawful; they will be given provision in that state and they will be helped, until they meet Allah, the Mighty and Majestic."
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، ثنا فِرْدَوْسٌ الْأَشْعَرِيُّ، ثنا مَسْعُودُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ، مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ، عَنْ أَبِي ثَعْلَبَةَ، قَالَ: لَقِيتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ادْفَعْنِي إِلَى رَجُلٍ حَسَنِ التَّعْلِيمِ، فَدَفَعَنِي إِلَى أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ بْنِ الْجَرَّاحِ ثُمَّ قَالَ: " قَدْ دَفَعْتُكَ إِلَى رَجُلٍ يُحْسِنُ تَعْلِيمَكَ وَأَدَبَكَ، فَأَتَيْتُ أَبَا عُبَيْدَةَ بْنَ الْجَرَّاحِ وَهُوَ وَبَشِيرُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ بْنُ بَشِيرٍ يَتَحَدَّثَانِ، فَلَمَّا رَأَيَانِي سَكَتَا، فَقُلْتُ: يَا أَبَا عُبَيْدَةَ، وَاللهِ مَا هَكَذَا حَدَّثَنِي رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ: إِنَّكَ جِئْتَ وَنَحْنُ نَتَحَدَّثُ حَدِيثًا سَمِعْنَاهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَاجْلِسِ حَتَّى نُحَدِّثَكَ، فَقَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنَّ فِيكُمُ النُّبُوَّةَ، ثُمَّ تَكُونُ خِلَافَةً عَلَى مِنْهَاجِ النُّبُوَّةْ، ثُمَّ يَكُونُ مُلْكًا وَجَبَرِيَّةً»
مَنِ اسْمُهُ أُسَامَةُ أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدِ بْنِ حَارِثَةَ حِبُّ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يُكَنَّى أَبَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَيُقَالُ أَبُو زَيْدٍ
مَنِ اسْمُهُ أُسَامَةُ أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدِ بْنِ حَارِثَةَ حِبُّ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يُكَنَّى أَبَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَيُقَالُ أَبُو زَيْدٍ
Abu Tha'labah said: I met the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah, entrust me to a man who teaches well. So he (peace and blessings be upon him) entrusted me to Abu Ubaydah bin al-Jarrah, then said: "I have entrusted you to a man who will teach you and train you well." So I came to Abu Ubaydah bin al-Jarrah while he and Bashir bin Sa'd, the father of al-Nu'man bin Bashir, were talking; when they saw me, they fell silent. So I said: O Abu Ubaydah, by Allah, this is not what the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) told me (about you). He said: You came while we were narrating a hadith that we heard from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him); sit down so that we may narrate it to you as well. Then he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Prophethood is among you, then there will be a caliphate on the method of Prophethood, then it will become kingship and tyranny."
